What happens if I decide to switch to another Web host provider? What happens with our Domain name?
When we register your domain name (yourcompany.com), we list YOU as the owner of the domain, the administrative and billing contact. This means you can switch your domain over at any time with no trouble. You do not need to get our approval to switch a domain name. You own the domain name FULLY. We will never hold a person's domain name for ransom as some hosts seem to be doing these days.
Is there a cost for pointing a domain to MIDITECH Name Servers?
No. There is no cost for doing so. We will assist you at no extra cost. We may need the password for your domain name registrar manager if you want us to make these changes for you.
How long does it take to set up a MIDITECH host account?
We can have your account setup and running usually within a few minutes to just a few hours during high volume days. We have accounts setup on a same day...and occasionally on a next day basis. For orders placed during a weekend, we would setup the account on Monday or the next day we reopen. Also, if you will be paying by cheque, PayPal or Email Money Transfers then additional delays can occur. Our sales desk and billing desk is open Mon-Fri. Support desk is open 7 days per week.

What is shared hosting with MIDITECH? Does each account have it's own dedicated IP address?
MIDITECH host accounts do not receive their own unique IP by default. Dedicated IPs have a cost of $3.00 per IP number per month.
Does MIDITECH offer dial up accounts?
No. Internet Service Providers spend their resources on ensuring you have Internet access. Our main focus and resources are spent on ensuring your website remains online, regardless of what happens at your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Also hosting your website outside your ISP services allows you to have an email address that uses YOUR domain name.
What are MIDITECH's server types?
We offer CentOS Linux and Windows 2003 server platforms.
Does MIDITECH offer support for ASP.NET or Cold Fusion MX?
We do support ASP and ASP.net on our Windows2003 host plans. We currently do not support Cold Fusion or Cold Fusion MX.
Does MIDITECH Support FrontPage?
Yes. Our Windows 2003 host plans support FrontPage 2003 Extensions. You can setup your Front Page Extension via your H-Sphere Host Control Panel in about 3 minutes!
Can someone access my domain/web site without the "www"?
Yes. They can reach your web site by typing yourdomain.com or www.yourdomain.com.
Will my account come with detailed visitor stats?
Yes. We include two packages; webalizer and AWstats. For extra costs you may also setup Urchin 4 Web Stats which are very robust in features.
Will my account come with a CGI-BIN?
Absolutely ...yes! You also get 24/7 FTP Access.
Can I setup password protected directories?
Yes. You can. You can do this through your control panel.

The answer depends on a few things: the size of the site, whether you have the content fully ready, and MIDITECH's current design work load. - Emailing support or using our support form or using our Trouble Ticket system helps us handle support requests in a timely and traceable manner. We check for support messages between the hours of 10am-10PM EST, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays.
Our advanced network monitoring notifies the admins 24/7 and when a rare major problem affecting customers occurs we usually know before the customer does. We also post an alert on our support website (when possible) so that customers know we are already working on the issue, when possible.
It is rare that a client needs critical support such as web site down or email not working. Our track record is extremely good and our customer retention is very high. We aim for excellence in support. Most support requests are answered within a few hours during our business hours. All support requests are usually handled in 24 to 48 hours via the support site.
Why not offer an "unlimited resource " plan?
We know that some hosts are offering "unlimited bandwidth" and "unlimited web space". But we do not believe any company can truly offer these resources at shared hosting prices with integrity. If it were true, we could offer to host Yahoo's web site for $20 per month. The cost to maintain this would be impossible for such a low selling price. This simply is not reality.
In fact, be very careful when you see a host offering the world for next to nothing. Chances are you will have a bad experience, a lack of support, or one day finding that your account has been sold to the highest bidder as the company's main objective may be to sell tons of host accounts just so they can then sell the whole business (and the customer never wins in such cases).

Can I upgrade to a different service plan in the future?
If you need a more extensive plan than the one you're signed up for, you can easily switch plans or add extra services. All you would need to do is pay the difference. Likewise, if you find you signed up for a more comprehensive plan than you needed, you can downgrade to a more basic plan on your renewal date. Just inform us before your renewal date.

Can I set up more than one domain from a single account? What about pointer domains?
Power or higher host plans can have up to 3 domain aliases, so you can point up to three domain names to your home page (index page). Can I have a sub domain? (example subdomain.yourdomain.com)

Is php Safe Mode enabled?
No, SAFE MODE is OFF on all servers.
What is the limit for email storage per email address?
All host plans are based on a SUMMARY DISK USEAGE total. Initially accounts are setup with 30MB per email box. However, you can increase the space within your total summary disk usage as you see fit. This is done through the host control panel that comes with your acount and you have access to this 24/7.
